Straight from Belize, the Belizean Entertainment brings you the heat of the Caribbean. Now, you may not have heard of the country but you gotta hear the music. Straight fire, Benge-T, Flaco Leslie, Cita, and Belizeño is dropping hot riddims that will definitely get you grooving. The new CD , Dirty Looks Riddim Drivenjust got released last month under Eight Ball Records out of Santa Elena Cayo, Belize.

Tracks like Esa Gyal and Bashment will definitely make you wine. Their music can be best described Spanish reggae/dancehall even though BE has some reggaeton tracks as well. Sugadaddy Reggaeton Remix is one of their reggaeton songs. While the whole crew shines on it, Cita grabs your attention with tight vocals. Check out the video below to see what it's all about.

Now that we got you grooving, check out BE's website at www.BelizeanEntertainment.bz and don't forget to stop by the store and show some love.

On the downlow, the scoop is that Flipside is in talks with BE to do some work together for Scape's upcoming album. Even though nothing is yet for sure, stay tuned for more info.

David Bisbal feat. Wisin y Yandel

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Universal Music Group just recently released a single of David Bismal featuring Wisin y Yandel. The track is called Torre de Babel and production wise is a strange mix between pop Spanish flamenco and reggaeton. You can check out the video here http://youtube.com/watch?v=wZvh3m6Kzvo

While Wisin y Yandel hold their ground on the track, it still has to grow on me. It is an unusual combination for both artists that demonstrates the diversity of reggaeton. In their new album Wisin y Yandel are all about experimenting. The tracks on the new album move more towards hip hop rather than the hard dembow sound of their previous releases. Below is what the duo has to say about their upcoming album:

Your boy Scape is in the studio again putting together a new compilation CD featuring artists from 3 continents. Currently he is in the final stages of making some of the beats. Flipside Productions has negotiated features with some artists for the album coming from Europe, the United States, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. This is what Scape had to say about his upcoming work:

"You know, you better get ready for it, cuz we coming and if you ain't ready we gonna blow you out, hahaha. Right now we are working with my man Nytrow on some tracks, he got some acapellas for me - pura candela, ya tu sabe, I got my Donnect connect lined up too, he's working on the vocals of some of the tracks. I got my Bulgarian people showing love, we got a couple of tracks done and ready with the Harmanly Cartel - the boys are banging- and I keep the beats coming..."

"In the end of the day I expect it to be real up there, real good work...we trying to bring out the best that Europe can offer and put European reggaeton on the map."

The new album is scheduled to come out in the beginning of next year. Stay tuned for more information.
